Hollyhocks offers accommodation for a couple who are looking for a quiet retreat in all seasons with its warming open fire to curl up to in the winter and lovely rear garden for enjoying the summer sunshine and glorious views. Bawdsey lies on the estuary of the River Deben, where walkers, cyclists and weekend sailors make leisurely use of the pubs, pine forests and heathland of the Bawdsey Peninsula, while taking in the magnificence of the big skies. Nearby, Bawdsey Manor was where radar was developed and there are lots of historical sites to visit around the area, including Sutton Hoo. Bawdsey Quay is only two miles away, from where you can take the foot ferry to Felixstowe Ferry and walk or cycle to Felixstowe town.

This very compact 2 person cottage was ideal for us and 1 dog. The enclosed garden was a boon and will be lovely in the warmer months.
Hollyhocks Cottage is very pleasant indeed. It is situated in a quiet terrace. Lovely area with interesting walks.

Beautiful little cottage with excellent facilities and a lovely secure garden. Very peaceful village. Well positioned for walks to Bawsdey beach, Bawdsey quay, Deben River and the well stocked corner shop at Alderton. A little gem.
Lovely property. Great for visiting Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge. Very cosy. A short distance from Bawdsey Quay with lovely view, cafe, and foot ferry to Felixstowe.
Nice little cottage set in a very nice friendly village with good walks for the dogs, we really appreciate the secure back garden. Hollyhocks is situated in a very good spot to tour the surrounding area.
