The Old Rectory Tattingstone provided an ideal base for our group of sixteen "over-sixties". We were all able to have an ensuite room. The library, and the dining room were rooms where we all of us could gather together, but the range of other communal areas meant that everyone could find their own space if they wanted to. The games room, with aiRead morer hockey, pool, table football and table tennis was very popular. The lake is a short walk away, as is the White Horse, which coped well with our large group for Sunday lunch. Hide

Huge house, all bedrooms large. Plenty of communal space. 3 large fridges. Beautiful location within walking distance of 2 pubs, and some lovely walks directly from the house. John the house manager was very welcoming, and very helpful. Would return.

Excellent location within short distances of lovely riverside walks, inlets and National Trust sites including Sutton Hoo and Flatford Mill. Good walks from the Old Rectory itself.

The Old Rectory is a lovely house with large rooms and plenty of bathrooms. One drawback was the lack of secure fence and gates for the garden which isn't ideal for dogs. A second drawback was the cooker hob which was very slow to heat and the calibration on the knobs was worn away so we had difficulty in adjusting the temperature.

We had a wonderful long weekend at this property, there were 21 of us and there was plenty of space for us all to be together, or separate if we so desired. Everything you need is available at the property and we felt very at home. The Old Rectory was everything we hoped it would be for my 75th Birthday celebrations and more. All the family together for a weekend but also with enough rooms to have our own space when we wanted. The kitchen is very well equipped with more than adequate crockery etc. The owner could not have been more helpful when I contacted him to let him knRead moreow that the DVD player wasnt working. Within an hour he had brought a replacement which made such a difference as we wanted to show DVDs of old cine films of my parents from the 1950s. We were up till 2am watching! The weather prevented us making use of the spacious grounds but we did manage a walk around Alford Lake which was beautiful. The only problem we have now is deciding when we can go again as everyone agrees we must do it again! Hide

The Old Rectory is a perfect house for a large group. We went there as a family to celebrate my big birthday so had a mixture of ages. The house was perfect for everyone with a beautiful garden for games , a well equipped games room and large spacious bedrooms , most with en-suites . All in all a perfect choice.
