Southwold is a traditional coastal town famous for its pier, lighthouse, pastel coloured beach huts and fabulously fresh seafood! The town has some excellent independent shops, cafes and restaurants, be sure to call in for a pint of the acclaimed Adnams beer in one of the popular pubs.

Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

A great holiday for 3 generations - we could sit on the balcony and watch the grandchildren on the beach. Great value from the blue hut (99s for £1.90) and terrific lattes.
You cant beat the setting and vista
Lovely property, spacious, central to Town and fantastic views across the sea.Highly recommended.
This was not our first stay or our last as we intend to return annually at about this time. There are only 2 of us so the space and facilities of the flat are, for us, excellent. The sea views from the kitchen and living room and 2 of the 3 bedrooms are spectacular and the little reading room balcony overlooks the prom and the sea. The sandy Southwold beach is literally across the road. It is a short walk to all the pubs and shops of Southwold. There is no private parking but on street parking is readily available outside of the big holiday periods.Quite frankly as a sea view apartment for 2 No. 9 The Craighurst is unbeatable. It would also work well for parents with 2 young children. There are stairs with 2 flights from the front door to the bedrooms and bathrooms and 1 to the living spaces and the single bathroom including WC. We would find it difficult if there were more than 2 adults sharing the single bathroom.
