Located only a couple of hundred metres from the beach and famous Southwold pier. Whether it’s a winter break cosied up in front of the wood burner or a summer break enjoying the garden, this property is the ideal coastal retreat all year round. This bright, spacious, newly renovated property with mid-century interiors is located in an enviable position in the popular seaside town of Southwold.
Arrive at the ground-floor entrance hall and notice that there is wood flooring throughout. The dining room to the front of the property has a table and six chairs in the bay window, plus a sofa making this a flexible room. The sitting room is at the back of the property and has a TV, two sofas and a wood burner (a great addition for winter breaks) plus French doors leading to the large garden at the rear (making it ideal for the summer months too). The newly fitted kitchen is very well equipped with all you would need for your self-catering stay. In addition, there is a ground-floor cloakroom with WC. There are three light and spacious bedrooms on the first floor with ample storage for belongings: a king-size, a twin and a single. The bathroom has a double-head shower over the bath. The large west-facing garden has a grassed area with garden furniture and plenty of room for the children to let off steam.
Located in central Southwold, you’ll be within 500 metres of the marketplace, as well as an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocer with fresh local produce, a family butcher and a delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and, of course, the lighthouse in the town, which is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!
