Stay at this period property by the sea in pretty Southwold for a relaxing break on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The Grade-II listed cottage incorporates a former 18th-century dairy for a nostalgic and homely atmosphere that guests will love. In the surrounding area you’ll have green hills, enchanting woodlands and vast farmland to discover, all within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With room for up to five guests over three bedrooms, it’s ideal for a family or group of friends keen for a restorative break.

The interior of this attractive holiday home combines rustic charm with modern living. There’s a cosy lounge with sink-in sofas and shelves full of books plus a TV and DVD player for entertainment. A snug offers an alternative spot, ideal for reading, while the provided desk is handy for if you need to attend to business during your stay. You’ll have a variety of spots for sitting down to eat – enjoy sit-down meals in the light-filled garden room, boasting large dual-aspect windows and a charming window seat, or tuck into cooked breakfasts in the modern kitchen. The third place to dine is the sunny garden, where the children can play on the grass while you relax into extended lunches. A BBQ is on hand for when you want to cook in the fresh Suffolk air.

You’ll be 350 metres from Gun Hill Canons, a historical site with lovely coastal views. Pubs, shops and Southwold’s lovely beach and pretty beach huts are all within 0.5 miles of your front door and easily reachable on foot. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along Southwold pier followed by a yummy fish and chip dinner as you watch the sun go down. In the surrounding area, there are lots of pretty local villages to explore, including Reydon and Walberswick, both 1.5 miles away.

A very convenient property for everything. It suited a young family & grandparents extremely well. We had beautiful weather so the garden was a great bonus.
