When the seaside beckons, this wonderful period home 200 metres from the beach in Southwold makes a wonderful spot for a relaxing family holiday. You’ll have lovely views over the pier and coast and easy access to excellent shops, pubs and restaurants in the streets surrounding this semi-detached home. Sleeping up to six guests over its three bedrooms, the property is well-suited to a trip among relatives or close friends, with up to two doggies welcome to come along, too.
You’ll enter into a hallway leading to an inviting and spacious lounge with a large bay window. This room is bathed in natural light during the day, and has an open fire you can stoke up in chilly weather. It’s holiday time after all, so why not sink into one of the leather sofas and get lost in the latest creation by your favourite author? Another pleasant space for relaxation is the open-plan kitchen/diner, where keen chefs can prepare feasts to be devoured at the dining table. A door from here leads to the conservatory, which provides a light and airy space to kick back. In mild weather, while away a few hours in the dreamy rear garden, perhaps sipping something cool on one of the furnished patio areas. Dogs will love letting off steam on the grassy lawn and there’s also a summerhouse children can play in.
You’ll be located within the Suffolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so expect outstanding natural beauty all around. Take your pick from tucking into pub lunch or taking a leisurely cycle ride through stunning coastal scenery. When you’re not hanging out at the local The Denes beach, you’ll find further another lovely beach at Covehithe (5 miles). The nearby River Blythe (1.5 miles) estuary offers excellent dog-walking opportunities and we also recommend visiting the attractive village of Reydon 1 mile away, where you can enjoy scenic walks and a tranquil atmosphere.
