To add to the character of this property, the internal window between the dining room and the sitting room has been opened up, creating a sociable aspect whilst maintaining the traditional cottage layout.  The well-equipped cottage style kitchen is open to the dining room which is a lovely space for the whole family to dine together; the feature brick wall and period fireplace have been beautifully presented and are a lovely reminder of the history of the building. Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocer with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

We had a marvellous week of weather which always helps.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.The house was homely,well equipped.The beds were extremely comfortable.We would seriously consider staying at 30 Victoria Street again.
