This is a great base for a family or group of friends looking for a getaway to explore the Suffolk coast and countryside. Having been recently renovated to a high standard this property offers an ideal escape for six.

This lovely spot offers peace and quiet along with ease for your stay. You’ll be close to amenities with two local shops and a pub nearby, yet just far enough out of the hustle and bustle that you can put your feet up and enjoy some well-deserved rest.

At the hub of this beautiful holiday home there is a spacious kitchen complete with island ready for you to rustle up all sorts of homecooked delights! It’s a super sociable space leading nicely to a wonderful sunroom which is a fantastic open plan living/dining space. From here you can enjoy views of the garden whilst relaxing in the open and airy space. Perhaps you would like to tuck yourself away for an evening in… well, the snug is perfect for that and the gas burner only adds to its cosiness!

The large ground floor bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and just along the hall you’ll find a ground floor shower room. Upstairs, there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one twin and one king) and the floor is complete with a bathroom perfect for helping you to relax and recharge your batteries!

Don’t leave any family members behind! Your four-legged friends are welcome here too at an extra charge and what a spot it is for them to enjoy. A lovely contained garden and hard flooring on the ground floor means it’s an ideal property for pets. We ask that pets are kept downstairs and off the furniture, but the owners have even added a fancy picket fence style stair gate which can be used to keep pets downstairs! You can enjoy many walks around this pretty area and it’s only a 15 minute walk from Southwold and there are some lovely river and marshland views along the way!

Lovely dog friendly house. Very clean and well equipped. Really tastefully decorated. The big bonus is a drive with room for parking 3 cars or more. Loved little touches as lights in the garden coming on in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

Mrs A,

We had a lovely holiday at Braeside House. The house is well equipped, with very comfortable beds and forensically clean. The location is excellent, tucked away in a quiet corner of Reydon, but an easy walk into the bustle of Southwold. Both of the local shops in Reydon are excellent and a short walk from the house. The garden was secure and safe; even if the main gate was left open. The birdlife in the garden is amazing and there is so little other noise you really hear their song. In short it's an excellent holiday home.

Mr S,

We had a wonderful time at Braeside House. It’s perfect for a family, light & airy, very comfortable and lovely to spend time in - especially the orangery which was our favourite room. Our children particularly loved the hatch in the kitchen! We would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Past Customer,

Wonderful house in every respect with lovely enclosed garden. Beautiful bedrooms and lots of space. Nice private location but with easy access to Southwold - about a 15-20 minute walk. Lovely small shop in the village on the way into Southwold - well stocked with fruit and vegetables and an amazing array of organic and vegan options.

Mrs D,

We found the property comfortable and in a good position to walk into Southwold, the bedrooms were all a good size. The Kitchen was very nice and had plenty of utensils, the Conservatory was very nice to relax in adjoining the Kitchen. A very nice holiday and home.

Mr B,

Well equipped and spacious property with lovely conservatory and enclosed rear garden -ideal for young children and pets.

Mr T,

Great spacious house although there were only three in our group and so peaceful down quiet track. Well equipped and a pleasure to return to after walks when wet and windy - always warm. Although really all weather house with beautiful sun room - great for elderly mum. Would love to return with family again.

Mrs B,

A beautiful house and garden! We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed lots of long walks, especially to Walberswick via the ferry and walking back via the fenland.

Mrs B,

Excellent holiday cottage, plenty of space. Great location, very pet friendly with secure garden.

Mrs R,

What a lovely place to stay. The house is so comfortable, its so easy to relax here for a short break. We have walked to the beach several times, enjoyed lunch at the Harbour Inn, a meal at The Sole Bay Inn, and mulled wine at The Lord Nelson. We cannot fault the house, its so comfortable and the town is so lively considering the time of year. We hope to return soon.

Nick & L,

“Wow Wow Wow! What a find. Such a beautiful cottage that has had a lot of thought put in. Beautiful decor (let your guests know the names of paint and wallpaper!). This was one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed in. You felt at home the minute you walked in the door. The furnishings were very comfortable, the decoration was exceptional and the beds were just out of this world. We will certainly be returning to this property.

Mrs Jeanette B,

Wonderful stay and we enjoyed relaxing during our stay. The house has been refurbished to a high standard, but all the period features have been kept. I was seriously impressed by the comfort and warmth during our stay. We intend to return.

Des & G,

"What can we say! We have been coming to Southwold for many years and this was the first year we were unable to book in town, so stayed at Braeside. It was the best ever and the short walk into Southwold is worth it for the comfort of this beautiful house. We will definitely be booking for this year again!!”

Previous Customer,

We've had such a lovely few days here at Braeside House. Its such a beautiful home and we've thoroughly enjoyed spending our evenings snuggled up in front of the fire playing games - Monopoly was a big hit! Its our first time here in Southwold, and what a pretty little town. The beach is like stepping into a postcard with the gorgeous little beach huts. We've loved exploring the town and soaking up the sights. Storm Jorge didnt stop us walking along the coast and enjoying the quirky games on the pier. Definitely recommend breakfast at the Adnams cafe and the gin distillery tour. The fish and chips from "The Little Fish & Chip Shop" were amazing too. Thank you for the memories here at Braeside, we've loved our holiday and can't wait to come back.
