The family bathroom is also downstairs, while the two inviting bedrooms, a king-size and a twin room, are up on the floor above. Wander into the centre of Southwold, just over 0.5 miles away, to explore its fabulous shopping streets, where there are galleries, boutiques, eateries and outlets selling local produce. Walk along the seafront, go to the South Beach and see the lighthouse while you are in town. Venture 1.5 miles from the cottage to take the children to see the famous maize maze or to hire bicycles to explore the surrounding Suffolk countryside. Have a day out to the quiet beach at Covehithe, 4 miles away.
