Charismatic features and quirky decor make this coastal cottage a stand-out place for three guests to call their own. Situated in the village of Reydon, just one mile outside of seaside Southwold, the holiday home is expertly positioned for exploring the Suffolk Coast AONB and Norfolk just a little bit further away. Decked out with all the mod-cons including Smart TVs and PlayStation consoles, this property lends itself perfectly to any couple or small family eager to relax well after jam-packed days filled with activities and excursions.

Two separate lounge areas make up the ground floor, so you’ll always have plenty of space to relax when night falls. Both boasting Smart TVs, the rooms are split into a cosy snug and comfortable lounge area that makes up part of the larger lounge/diner. Your chef of the group can cook up something delicious in the modern kitchen, before serving up either here at the dining table or outdoors in the courtyard. The garden space is furnished with patio furniture for alfresco mealtimes and is enclosed so kids can safely play. Back inside, a family bathroom with ornate tiling completes the ground floor. Venture up onto the first floor to find two bedrooms, one wonderful double and a smaller room with a small double bed.

Spend time getting to know Southwold (1 mile), a characterful seaside town with a traditional pier, a historic lighthouse and a promenade-backed beach with brightly coloured beach huts to admire. Accessible via a ferry in the summer, the adjacent village of Walberswick (2 miles) is also worth a visit with an additional sandy beach and eateries serving mouth-watering seafood. Take a short drive out of Suffolk and into neighbouring Norwich for a chance to explore The Broads (20 miles), a sprawling region of waterways where boat trips and other water sports can be enjoyed.

Lovely well appointed cottage. Very nicely decorated and the bedrooms are a good size with plenty of storage space and hangers. We would definitely book it again.

Peaceful cottage in easy walking distance of Southwold sea front. Done up to a very high standard, and it had everything we needed for a stay with a young family. A fantastic holiday home.

Fabulous little cottage and extremely well equipped for a comfortable stay. The little extras, such as hand soap, cling film, tea and coffee, squash etc, were much appreciated. Parking was very easy along the side of the house. The location was ideal and just a short walk from all the amenities and beach in Southwold. The little shop, a few stepRead mores from the cottage, was incredibly well stocked and we bought all our groceries there for the whole week. A whole section of vegetarian options for me and a plenty of Gluten Free items were available too. There is a lot of information in the cottage regarding places to visit and we would recommend the RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve, the pretty village of Thorpeness with its house in the clouds, and Walderswick which is another pretty village. We visited in February but in the summer, you can walk to Walderswick and get a ferry back. There are also boat excursions available and all reasonably priced. My husband would recommend the tour at Adnams Brewery and I would recommend the shopping in Southwold! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in 42 Seaview and, despite the distance for us, we hope to go back one day. Definitely recommended! Hide

This is a beautifully restored cottage in the quiet village of Reydon and is a 15 minute walk to Southwold. It has comfortable beds and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is the nicest cottage we have stayed in and we would like to return.

For us, a couple in our early 60s, with good mobility, this property is ideal and we have stayed more than once. Very well furnished with a lovely courtyard garden. Very easy access to Southwold itself and also benefiting from a very well stocked local shop. Being honest we have stayed in many self catering locations and this, for its price, isRead more a a good as it gets. Hide
