It's always fun to head to a pub or fancy restaurant during your holiday, but there's nothing quite like picking up fresh grub from local artisans and growers to cook up back at your holiday cottage.
There are so many wonderful farmers' markets that take place around Suffolk, you may find it tricky to decide where to go for your food shops. Whether heading to the delightful riverside town of Beccles or the arts complex that is Snape Maltings, you'll find plenty of goodies - from cured meats to freshly-picks veggies - to choose from at these Suffolk farmers' markets.

Beccles Farmers' Market
A charming market town set on the edge of The Broads National Park and hosts a farmers' market that has been running for over 20 years! With around 30 stallholders offering up goodies including chutneys, rare breed pork, cards and other crafts, locally brewed beer and honey products.
When? First and third Saturday of each month, 9am-1pm

Bury St Edmunds Farmers' Market
Locally referred to as 'Bury', this bustling destination is a wonderful hub for the county and boasts a delightful farmers' market that's held right in the centre of town. Halesworth Produce Market
Halesworth is a quiet market town, set 10 miles south of coastal Southwold, and hosts a beautiful farmers' market in the Rifle Hall community centre offering a host of local produce and crafts, as well as refreshments to keep you fuelled as you shop.

Lavenham Farmers' Market
This beautiful village is lined with half-timbered medieval cottages and is an enchanting place to visit. Lavenham Farmers' Market takes place in the village hall. There are plenty of other lovely things to do in Lavenham when you've finished perusing the many local goods on offer at the stalls.

Snape Maltings Farmers' Market
Snape Maltings is an inspiring arts complex just north of the quiet village of Snape and is best known for its impressive concert hall. At the fantastic monthly farmers' market hosted here, you can expect artisan bakes, locally reared meats, and tasty juices too.

Sudbury Farmers' Market
Sudbury Farmers' Market takes place outside on Market Hill, with the statue of Thomas Gainsborough overlooking the stallholders, making a great choice for spending time outdoors on a sunny day! Homemade pies, honey and beeswax goodies, and Indian-style snacks can all be found at this brilliant Suffolk farmers' market.

Head to Wyken Vineyard Farmers' Market for fresh and artisan produce in an enchanting setting.
