A bubbling hot tub, sauna and a bright, open-plan living space make this countryside lodge an excellent choice for a relaxing family break. Up to four guests and two canine companions can stay in this North Suffolk holiday home. During your stay, you can explore the surrounding historic attractions, coastline and charming rural towns.
Step inside and find yourself in the airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with neutral-toned decor and a wooden ceiling. Natural light pours through the triple-aspect windows and two sets of French doors. Looking out onto the green fields is the wooden dining table with five chairs. Adjacent is a lounge area with two sofas on either side of the coal-effect electric fire and Smart TV. At the back of the room is a fitted ‘U’-shaped kitchen unit with an integrated ceiling radio. Beyond here is a family bathroom with a sauna and a shower over the bath. Completing the interior are two bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite and a twin room. Outside, a sunken hot tub and furniture can be found on the decked veranda. There is also a games room which is shared with other guests on the grounds and ample private parking.
While staying in the calming Suffolk countryside, you can easily pop into the market town of Eye (6 miles) for a meal after looking around the castle ruins. Head for the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape for a day at Dunwich Beach (21.5 miles) or the seaside town of Thorpeness (24 miles). If you’re a history enthusiast, visit the well-preserved Framlingham Castle (10 miles) or one of the three nearby museums (all within 18.5 miles).
