Situated within the private grounds of Athelington Hall in the North Suffolk countryside, this comfortable lodge rests on a working farm dating back to 1620. Expect relaxed days and starry-night soaks in your private hot tub. Wonderful walks in unspoiled countryside unfold from your doorstep, or you can simply unwind on the gated veranda. Pick up treats from the on-site shop and enjoy the peace of rural life. When you’re ready to explore, climb the ramparts at Framlingham Castle (8.5 miles), ride the steam trains at the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway (9.5 miles), or meet friendly animals at Easton Farm Park (12 miles). Stonham Barns Shopping Village (11 miles) offers family attractions, and nature lovers can head to RSPB Minsmere (21 miles). The Suffolk coast, including Southwold, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh, is within 25 miles for beach days and coastal strolls.

Inside, an inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner creates a sociable heart to the lodge. Settle into the comfortable seating for film nights on the Smart TV, or gather at the dining table for leisurely meals. The kitchen has all the mod cons required for cooking family meals with ease. Sleeping arrangements are flexible for families and friends: a double bedroom features an en-suite shower room with WC, while a twin bedroom sits close to the family bathroom, which offers a shower over the bath and WC. A double sofa bed in the lounge provides additional sleeping for two.

Outside, the large, gated veranda is designed for easy outdoor living, with rattan-style seating, a six-seater dining table, and a private hot tub sunken into the decking for effortless dips. The outlook across a wide lawn adds a gentle, open feel. This lodge sits within a complex of similar properties on the farm; the wider grounds are shared. Private parking is next to the lodge.

Great location for countryside or coast. Nice clean lodges set in open grounds but adequate separation between lodges to provide privacy. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Very clear instructions on how to find, access and use the facilities. The lodge was beautiful. Very clean, immaculate bedding and linen. Quiet and peaceful. Really enjoyed our stay. Also LOVED Poppy! Will definitely be booking again in the future!
