For those in need of retail therapy, Colchester, Ispwich and beautiful Bury St Edmunds are just half an hour away by car. If you prefer to leave the car behind, Manningtree station servicing Liverpool street is only five minutes away by taxi.

Upon entering this stunning Scandinavian-style lodge, you will be struck by the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which boasts gorgeous views out to the Dedham Vale through the bi-fold doors which span the front of the property. This was a lovely lodge, clean and well equipped with a great hot tub and an amazing wood burner, welcome in January, and we had a very enjoyable weekend break. My only issue was I couldnt let my dog out anywhere without a lead and this was a pain. The site is fenced but too big to let a dog roam especially with cars about and an often open gate.
