Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either.

Lovely rural, quiet, smart and comfortable cottage in a very convenient accessible area. Easy to get to both sea, river, heath and ancient woodland for beautiful walks. We would definitely recommend.
Beautiful cottage, very well equipped. Beautifully decorated and furnished and very comfortable. Fantastic location to reach surrounding areas and lovely walks directly from the cottage. We loved it and will definitely be back again. Would highly recommend.
A superb cottage on a quiet country lane, nicely located close to all our much loved places. The main living / dining area is very spacious with comfy seating including a window seat at the kitchen end. We found everything we needed to cook with, plenty nice crockery and cutlery, a nice cold fridge, and a lovely walk-in shower. Also chose this cottage as it has a ‘smart TV’ for choice of viewing of an evening. A footpath right outside the cottage was handy for the morning dog walk, and the dog towels and poo bags was a nice touch.
A very comfortable and well equipped property, in an ideal location for exploring Suffolk.
A well appointed property in a quiet location with uninterrupted views over farmland. Well worth a visit, especially when the sun shines!
Beautiful property very comfortable stay with a lovely family space, shame we didn’t get to use the garden as unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best but lovely views! We will definitely be back! X
