Snape is best known as the venue for the Aldeburgh Festival and for other events throughout the year held in the Maltings Concert Hall. However, the pretty village, at the head of the tidal estuary, is a popular holiday venue in its own right and central for exploring the unique area of the Suffolk Heritage Coast - the tidal estuary and network of footpaths are one of the most interesting areas of Suffolk for exploring on foot. There is easy access to the fascinating coastal town of Aldeburgh, you are just 30 minutes from Southwold plus castles and much more to explore at Framlingham and Orford. The burial treasures at Sutton Hoo, near Woodbridge, should not be missed either.

It was a beautiful cottage in a great location. Really delightful. The property is described as accessible, however there were some issues with external to internal thresholds and placing of furniture/sockets which weren't ideal. It would be worth checking if you have a wheelchair user in your party. But it is a lovely holiday home!
We had a lovely time. The cottage was superbly equipped and the nice touch of the bottle of wine and chocs was appreciated. Great location with lovely walks through the countryside. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back sometime.
