Nestled on the outskirts of Aldeburgh, just a short distance from the village of Aldringham, you'll find the charming Little Rose. This recently refurbished ground floor annexe has been transformed into a light, comfortable and welcoming space for two looking to rest and recharge their batteries on the Suffolk coast.

This bijou space has been transformed to provide a relaxing getaway for two. A small ramp from the enclosed garden leads up to the double french doors which open into the open plan living area. Cleverly zoned and with a exposed vaulted ceiling and supporting beams, this space is perfect to enjoy in all seasons. A sitting area with Smart TV occupies one end of the room, whilst the other plays home to the fitted kitchen, complete with oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. A small dining table and chairs is a great space to sit to enjoy a spot of breakfast, or some fish and chips from the Aldeburgh town centre.

To the rear of Little Rose you will find the master bedroom. Here a double bed awaits, with a wardrobe for storage; you'll be very comfortable here. The shower room is deceptively spacious and has the benefit of step-free access, ideal for those who may shy away from a large number of steps.

Given its' location, Little Rose truly is a great space for all ages and interests. Being on the outskirts of Aldeburgh, you can avoid the stress and busyness during the peak times thanks to your own private parking space and large, West-facing, enclosed patio garden. Little Rose is also set back from the road via a small track, giving guests a sense of privacy and tranquility. Keen cyclists and walkers will love exploring the surrounding roads and footpaths; be sure to enjoy the delights of not only Aldeburgh and Aldringham, but Thorpeness, Westleton and Middleton too. Foodie lovers will love this area; with plenty of independent cafes, restaurants and pubs just a short drive or cycle away.

So if you're longing for an escape from the city, or perhaps a getaway with your other half; Little Rose will be your perfect restorative remedy. Pub: 1.4 miles, Shop: 1.7 miles, Beach: 2.3 miles

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends.

Great location, near the beaches. Property well kept and very clean. Dog friendly. Owners were very friendly and ready to help in any way. Great property for a couple with a dog. Would recommend.

Dr A,

A comfortable and secluded property with a lovely garden, perfectly located for anyone wanting to enjoy nature on the network of lovely paths that surround it - our dog loved it! Afternoon teas and ice creams in are within easy reach in Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, and we enjoyed visits to Snape Maltings and The Red House. Thank you to our welcoming and generous hosts!

Excellent accommodation and made very welcome indeed by owners. There was absolutely nothing to fault and would highly recommend to all.

Ms M,

Cosy, warm and stylish property, extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Private and peaceful garden and good parking. Welcome pack was amazing including a bottle of Prosecco and locally baked bread. Umbrella, torch and box for muddy boots and shoes a nice touch.

Mrs D,

Quiet, good location, helpful & friendly owners & perfect for dog owners.

Mr G,

Little Rose was an excellent place to stay. We received a very warm welcome from the owners and a lovely starter pack to get our holiday underway. We had two weeks of glorious weather and found Little Rose well placed for everywhere we wanted to visit. If not out and about the garden was a beautiful and peaceful space to catch up on some reading. Walks from the door were fantastic .Just over the road were acres of wild spaces with deer and birdlife and also it was possible to walk into Aldeburgh or Thorpeness for lunch. We will certainly hope to be back at Little Rose before too long. Chris and Andrew

Mrs C,

Great little property, excellent for a short getaway to Suffolk in the Thorpeness/Aldeburgh area as its ideally placed to get to both either via walking or in the car (less than 10min drive). This stay was our first trip away with our 6month old puppy and we couldn't have been happier. Nice enclosed little garden for Porter to stretch his legs. We could walk relatively easily to the local pub in 15mins (The Parrot - excellent food). The hosts were great and very pleasant and gave us some great dog walk suggestions, highly recommend taking them to the boardwalk which starts pretty much opposite the property (Porter enjoyed playing in the mud/water). The property itself was a great size perfect for a couple and a dog, wifi was great and well furnished. The property is also only a short drive to Leiston which has a small supermarket, a very good indian takeaway and chip shop just in case you need to get some bits. Would recommend this property in a flash to others and would definitely think about staying there again when Porter is older.

mr G,

Great place to stay , lovely garden area to return to after a day out. Mike and Anthony were great hosts , and the property was excellent.

Mrs J,

This property was to an exceptional standard, the hosts were perfect and couldn't do more for us with little touches and recommendations. The garden is sunny, quiet and private and completely dog safe. We couldn't have wished for more :)

Miss H,

I can not recommend this place highly enough. Everything about it was just perfect. The owners Mike and Anthony have a great taste and we had the best time. Will go back for sure

Mr F,

Little Rose is a wonderfully quiet and secluded escape, but still within easy distance of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, and the wider villages and attractions of Suffolk. There are miles of beautiful walks right from the door, and the cottage itself is cosy and comfortable, with a lovely private garden. One of the best cottages I have stayed in! Many thanks to the thoughtful and friendly hosts.

Ms L,

This is a delightful holiday cottage, in a pleasant location and with a lovely garden. It is immaculate, furniture and fittings of a high standard and everything provided for the comfort of those staying. Being on one level, it was especially convenient for us. We would definitely book again.
