Aldeburgh is situated at the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The river Alde, popular with sailors, winds its way to Orford downstream and up-stream to Snape Maltings, home of the internationally famous Aldeburgh Music Festival. Thorpeness, just a couple of miles north along the beach, has its own special seaside character. In Aldeburgh fishermen still, pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from their picturesque huts. The high street has mostly independent shops mixed in with a nice variety of eating places. There are also several good hotels overlooking the sea, ideal for a leisurely lunch or evening meal. Opposite our Aldeburgh office is an interesting old and very well equipped cinema which shows the latest films and occasional festivals e.g. the highly regarded annual Aldeburgh Documentary Film Festival. There is always plenty to do in Aldeburgh while a radius of 10 miles inland will bring you to the fabulous natural riches of the East Anglian countryside and coastal area - and plenty of excellent pubs.

This was a lovely property, situated in the centre of Aldebrough. We loved the location, the layout and facilities in the property and had a lovely stay. It was unfortunate due to Covid, that we could not access the High Street without having to go up 33 steps to the street above and then back down again. Made it hard work especially due to a recent operation. It was also annoying having late check in and early check out times. The property was very pretty with lovely outside spots to sit and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Would have been even better to have had a king sized bed as this is what we have at home but otherwise a lovely home from home.

Mr L,

The property is very well situated, beautifully presented and ideal for a couple to enjoy Aldeburgh. First class in every respect.

Mr M,

This property could not be in a better location. Access to the High Street in 10 seconds flat and therefore all pubs restaurants, shops and the sea just about as accesable as they could be. Having said that you might expect some noise. No, the sun Deck is tucked down behind the shops and completely silent at night.

Mrs M,

Fantastic property in an ideal location. Everything you will need for a relaxing break.

Ms C,

Wow!! This property is wonderful!! We were amazed when we entered the property by just how lovely it was. It was so clean and inviting and had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our holiday. The bed was extremely comfortable and the upstairs lounge, dining, kitchen area was beautiful. The position of the property is excellent and Aldeburgh is a delight. We can't praise this holiday property enough.

Mr J,

Beautiful property. Very well appointed. Lots of little extras to make your holidays relaxing and comfortable. Shops, restaurants, pubs and the beach within 5 mins walk. Aldeburgh an adorable little town. I would highly recommend this property.

Mr J,
