Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends.

A lovely cottage with enclosed garden and well equipped kitchen. Very comfortable home from home. This was our second visit!
Cottage is in a good location, lots of walks locally & the garden was brilliant for the dog very secure. We had a brilliant time & would stay again
Layout of property excellent. Take care of very low doorways in older parts of property. The equipment level is great. Awkward to manoeuvre a car to parking space unless it's a very small one
Very good location, 4 min walk to seafront and high street. Far enough away to be able to have parking and not be right in the midst of the busy town. Also the garden is a great accompaniment to the cottage, especially with children and a pet. Handy also for the Tesco and Coop, within a 7 min walk in the other direction and the fantastic Aldeburgh Cafe for breakfasts!
Comfortable and well equipped property . Lovely garden. The info pack could do with a vamp up. We didnt find the keys for several days. The conservatory exterior is very tired and the door into the garden not secure. Overall an excellent stay thank you
Old world quirkiness, with a modern conservatory and ample garden, Well positioned for easy access to the sea. Excellent facilities. Watch out for the irregular floor levels on the first floor (bedrooms). Would rent again.
