This cottage is set in the owners beautiful garden and is surrounded by gorgeous plants. The stunning riverside views can be seen when you reach the bottom of the garden. The garden is definitely the highlight of this cottage and is what gives it its 4 star rating. There is access to a boat, however it is a little on the small side but would be gooRead mored for one small adult or a child. The cottage itself contains the basics needed for your stay and has a view of the owners beautiful and well maintained flowerbed and lawn. The garden is large and is a full time job for the owners who can be seen working in the garden around the property every day. A great place to stay if you are a fan of horticulture. There are plenty of places of interest away from the cottage to explore. Hide

Akenfield Cottage is a wonderful place to stay for 2 people - very well equipped, plenty of space and comfort together with a lovely garden which leads down to a river. In addition the owners are very happy to ensure that guests have everything they need. A further big plus for us was that the owners were very happy for us to take our 2 giant breedRead more Leonbergers with us, and that there was plenty of space for them, plus an enclosed garden. This property is wonderful. The Cottage feels cosy and owners were very welcoming. The garden is amazing and full of wildlife with a river at the bottom where, weather permitting, owners allow use of rowing boat and life jacket.
