Blythburgh is a pretty, unspoilt village located 3 miles from Walberswick and just over 4 miles from Southwold. It is a small, quiet village with a historic public house serving good food, fine views of the estuary and the famous 15th-century church known as the Cathedral of the Marshes. There is also a village shop. Just 15.5 miles away is Framlington Castle, a beautiful fortification where you can learn some interesting history about the area or just take a pleasant walk around the moat. If you’ve got the kids with you, head north 16.5 miles to Lowestoft where you can visit Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park and while away the day on the amusements.
