This charming cottage is set in peaceful countryside, surrounded by open fields and beautiful landscapes with a wealth of walking trails right from the front door. Sleeping up to four guests across two generous en-suite bedrooms, it is the perfect escape for couples seeking a relaxing country retreat. The property is just 1 mile from the concert hall at Snape Maltings, while the popular seaside resorts of Aldeburgh (9 miles) and Southwold (22 miles) are ideal for day trips. After a day of exploring, relax in the tranquil cottage garden or settle in beside the cosy wood burner.

The holiday home has a country-cottage style, with decor and furniture to complement the property’s original features. The ground floor houses an attractive kitchen with everything needed for a self-catering getaway, as well as a beautiful dining room and cosy lounge with a roaring wood burner. The two pretty bedrooms are upstairs (accessed via their own cottage-style staircases), both with en-suite facilities creating a private haven for each bedroom. Outside, relax in the cottage garden, which has a large lawned area, as well as a sunny patio and BBQ for outdoor dining.

You’ll find plenty to see and do at Snape Maltings. As well as hosting music events throughout the year, the complex is also home to a collection of high-end boutiques and galleries, along with some exceptional restaurants. The area surrounding Snape Maltings is a paradise for walkers, and you can also take boat trips from the quayside. Heading to the coast, you’ll soon reach Aldeburgh with its pebble and shingle beach, long promenade, pastel-coloured houses, popular fish and chip shops, and seafood restaurants – it’s the perfect place for a traditional day at the seaside.

We all absolutely loved Boot Cottage and its wildflower garden. The position was quiet and even the beautiful cattle in the next field made no noise. Everything was spotless yet comfortable and we were very impressed by the safety measures on the tricky stairs. Thanks for another wonderful visit. Boot Cottage is our go to retreat and it is so nice to have the confidence that it will always deliver. We have now been visiting for 10 years and will, no doubt, be back again.

This place is a hidden gem, in deep countryside. Very well equipped, with high quality fixtures and fittings. The garden is large and left to nature, with mown paths through the wild flowers, plus a lawned area at the side. The property is attached to another house, but it's very private and we didn't see the neighbours all week. The house is old, Read morewith low ceilings and doors and the two staircases are spiral and narrow, but with plenty of handholds to allow safe climbing. The location could be a problem for some as the nearest shop is a few miles away, but we spent most of the time travelling the area, so any shopping was easily picked up. We have been visiting the area for along time and this is probably the best holiday cottage we have staying in. Hide

A lovely place to stay if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, and close to the coast with its many interesting places to visit. The cottage was tastefully decorated, spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer as there is so much to see.

Delightful, quiet and comfortable cottage - we loved it. Only disadvantage was the low doorways which were a real problem for a 6+ footer!

A lovely cottage in the country, but only a short drive from Snape Maltings. Hares, deer, and pheasants were seen in the neighbouring fields and lots of butterflies in the garden. The staircases could be tricky, but thought has been given to installing handles and ropes to help the older and younger generations! Comfortable beds and excellent batRead morehroom facilities Hide

We have had a succession of cottages that we have been disappointed with. This one however was not the case. It is spacious, comfortable, heating on demand, plenty of fire wood for the stove. ( Not usually the case ). We felt that we were more than just paying customers. The location was for us ideal, with walks from the from the door. The two whRead moreeel barrows are a nice touch!
