Walk to the beach (400 metres) to see the pretty pastel-coloured villas, watch the fishing boats come in and admire the 4-metre-high ‘Scallop’ sculpture. Explore The Red House on Golf Lane (1 mile), once the home of Benjamin Britten you can visit the studio where he used to compose and wander through the gardens. The world-famous Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, set up by Britten, takes place every June and is centred around Snape Maltings (6 miles).
