A little gem of a place. Very clean and well equipped. Parking was far from easy, but got better having spoken to the neighbour. Struggled to find our dustbin... A few weeds in the enclosed courtyard garden and the front lawn certainly needed cutting. Loud neighbours, due to small children. One major issue was that in extreme temperatures theRead more back french doors wouldn't lock, causing us to have to stay in for the evening when we were going out for a meal ...( They did lock when temperatures cooled down) On the whole a lovely place to stay. A cosy house with everything you need for a great holiday. Plenty of walking trails nearby and plenty of cute coffee shops in Southwold and Orford. Also a very generous welcome pack on arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay at Scholars Cottage, the property is well appointed and more than adequately equipped for a comfortable stay. The location is a perfect base for touring Suffolk and Norfolk. If you want to leave the car behind we found that travelling North by bus was adequate, however going South not so good. Southwold provides enough shRead moreopping places for food and has good pubs and restaurants. Hide

Well equipped and tidy property, good base for Southwold, a good 30min walk. Garden would benefit from some TLC. Parking was tight but very accommodating and friendly neighbours eased our concern.

Comfortable and well-appointed, quiet too. Very convenient for Southwold and good as a base for exploring the Suffolk coast. This was our third stay at Scholars Cottage.
