A charming cottage in the delightful village of Lavenham is ideal for couples or friends looking for a restful holiday. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walkers, photographers or those looking to escape busy city life. Lavenham is one of Britain’s best preserved medieval villages and the timber-framed architecture is striking in its beauty. There are plenty of eateries in the food capital of Suffolk, and the Railway Walk and Woodland Walk are on your doorstep, perfect to walk off a hearty meal.

This welcoming property set over two levels offers a warm embrace as soon as you enter offering soothing, soft tones and elegant decor. Step into the ground floor living area and relax on the comfortable sofas, enjoy watching TV and the warmth of a coal effect fire for cosy nights in the winter months. The L-shaped kitchen/diner has all the everyday appliances you need to create your favourite meals and has access to the rear garden. Upstairs you’ll find a bathroom and two bedrooms: one double and one single. Outside, to the rear of the property, is a relaxing cottage garden with garden furniture in two sitting areas along a winding path. The garden is a lovely, private space to unwind at any time of the day.

Lavenham is located close to the beautiful landscape of Constable Country with Dedham Vale and the Area of Outstanding National Beauty 17 miles away. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds is 12.5 miles where you can step back through 1000 years of history. Kentwell Hall (5 miles) is a delightful, moated Tudor house with 25 acres of garden to explore and worth a visit, or if you prefer country parks, then enjoy the lake and grassland and woodland walks at Melford Country Park (6 miles).

Lovely little cottage with a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable sitting room with two sofas and two nice bedrooms. We did not miss anything. The host was very accommodating and allowed an earlier check-in and later departure. Thank you very much!

The cottage is located in a very nice location (Lavenham). On street parking in front of the cottage may be difficult but there are options in nearby streets. The street in front of the cottage is rather busy with car and HGV traffic. The location of the cottage is quite central and within walking distance to the local shops.

We loved both the cottage and the garden. Perfect location for all that Lavenham has to offer, including the Greyhound and Swan. Cock Horse closed during our visit. Cottage contained everything we required. We would definitely stay again.

Clean, cosy and well equipped cottage just minutes from the High Street. Quiet and secluded back garden a boon as we had a warm and sunny week.

A lovely little cottage, and very well kitted out in the kitchen, I've never seen so many utensils. And plenty of washing liquid, dishwasher tabs etc which was appreciated. The location is perfect with onstreet parking just outside, the bedrooms are a good size and comfy beds. If you are a light sleeper you might struggle with the noise of cars drRead moreiving past. We had a really enjoyable stay at Pilgrims. The cottage was very well equiped, cosy, and very well positoned just a short walk from the centre of Lavenham. The cake and biscuits provided on our arrival were a nice gesture.

The cottage was very conveniently situated near relevant shops and the two heritage sites in Lavenham. The thoughtful conversion and extension made a perfect holiday home. The heating was very easy to regulate. The garden was a masterclass in how to utilse a difficult plot. The garden was enhanced by the tall trees across the back making the whole Read moreplace feel very secluded and far from being in almost the middle of the town. Parking was available outside the house at least half the time but the small car park, not on the map, at the bottom of the road led to a short pleasant walk past all the half timbered houses to and from it. This is a great little cottage,well placed . Comfortable and warm. Nice shower,comfortable bed. Good size kitchen. I would definitely recommend it and Lavenham is such a pretty and interesting place to stay.
