The property makes a fantastic base for small families, who are welcome to use the on-site indoor swimming pool, gym, and table tennis throughout the year. The quintessential Suffolk village of Blythburgh is 1.5 miles away, and boasts a traditional village pub, thatched cottages, and a stunning medieval church. An impressive, tree-lined driveway leads to the converted stable, which adjoins a gorgeous Grade II-listed Georgian property. Inside, discover a spacious lounge/diner, where you can spend quality time together sharing stories on the sumptuous leather sofas and tucking into delicious meals around the wooden dining table. A separate kitchen provides everything you need for a self-catering holiday with the family. When it’s time for bed, choose from an airy double bedroom with its own little reading nook or the cosy bunk bedroom. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, there is a small, secluded garden with outdoor furniture and guests are also welcome to explore the surrounding shared grounds.

Pack your buckets and spades and head to Southwold (5.5 miles) for a day at the seaside. Eat ice creams on the beach, hire a beach hut, and splash in the sea. The town has an excellent range of cafes and restaurants, many serving delicious local seafood. Snape Maltings (16 miles) also makes a great day out. A second very enjoyable stay in this comfortable and very well located cottage. As we could only book for the 4 nights that were available, we spent our days in Southwold, but could easily have gone further afield. We managed to book and enjoy a swim in the lovely clean on-site indoor heated pool every day. The books, toys and games for small childRead moreren in the property were a real boon. Hide

Amrose Cottage is great. Really comfortable, a great size and with really easy access to Southwold and other places nearby. We loved the pool - the booking system is a bit complicated but we managed to get a slot every day. Jonathan was a great host - we'd definitely come back.

Lovely property, in a great location. The cottage has everything you could need, (particularly really useful for a family who want to cook at home) and the fantastic addition of access to a really nice swimming pool on site. Handy for all sorts of days out in Suffolk. A perfect week.

This is a very cosy cottage on quiet estate with an interesting history. The surrounding area is very pretty, with lovely views across the marshes out the back of the property. The cottage is a good base to explore the Suffolk coast and towns further inland, with good road connections nearby.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the other time two years ago. It's just as lovely as before. It was like 'home from home' . As I love cooking the kitchen is well stocked. I do always take personal things with, but its not really necessary. The biggest bonus for me is the lovely swimming pool. It's such a lovely setting.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and were very comfortable. We had all the equipment we needed and it was great to have the children's equipment and the toys and books to entertain our toddler. Lovely to have somewhere to hang coats and store bags and shoes on entering the cottage. We enjoyed the views from the cottage and its historical Read moreand rural surroundings, and we managed to book the private pool for 4 sessions, which we really enjoyed. Parking directly outside the cottage was a bonus and easy. A really good location for exploring Southwold, Africa Alive and Somerleyton Hall gardens, and more of coastal s Suffolk if we had had time. We would definitely like to stay here again. Hide
