A delightful hideaway within 3 miles of Dunwich Beach, this cosy two-bedroom retreat is well placed for discovering the picturesque Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape. Sleeping four guests, it’s ideal for a small family with young children who will love the excitement of bunk-bed sleepovers. And being based in the village of Westleton means you’re only a mile from Westleton Heath Nature Reserve, perfect for gentle family walks and wildlife spotting.

Inside, the property feels homely and inviting, with pastel tones creating a calming atmosphere. After trips out and about, gather in the lounge on the comfortable sofas with a well-earned drink while the kids flick through the channels on the Smart TV. In the kitchen/diner, rustle up delicious breakfasts and dinners with locally sourced produce to enjoy together. Upstairs, you’ll find a family bathroom, along with two cosy bedrooms to rest in when tiredness hits. Outside, the enclosed garden is a real suntrap, making it a great spot to sit out with a book or tuck into grilled BBQ treats while the children play on the grass.

At Dunwich, you can explore the beautiful beach, colourful heath and play areas – and uncover the story of how the village came to be known as Suffolk’s ‘lost city’. For a more traditional seaside outing, visit Southwold (9 miles), famous for its Victorian pier, colourful beach huts and independent eateries. During high season, take the rowing boat ferry over to Walberswick to go crabbing and eat ice cream. Further afield, Africa Alive (13 miles) offers a fun family day out. It’s home to more than 300 African animals, from cheetahs and lemurs to an endangered aye-aye.

This property is very well positioned for exploring this lovely area, though it's a pity one of the 2 pubs in Westleton is closed at present. The property is slightly smaller than we expected from the website, but perfectly comfortable for 2 people.

Wouldn't give it 4 stars. Needed a good clean. Settees were stained, inside wardrobe was very dusty and couldn't hang a dress in it.

This is a great house. Very quiet and really good access to lovely walks, beach etc. It is very new and well equipped. Great for a dog which is also provided for! I would recommend it for a family or a couple. Great if you like walking. Nice enclosed safe garden.
