This romantic retreat enjoys a peaceful location, surrounded by immaculate shared gardens and open countryside, in the quaint village of Parham. You’ll be welcomed to the property with a selection of delicious produce from the gardens, depending on the season, and will also have access to the shared tennis courts during your stay. The bustling market town of Framlingham is 3 miles away, and you’ll also be just 12 miles from the coast.

The first-floor apartment is reached via an external, spiral staircase. The accommodation is set within the elegant Parham Hall and has been beautifully decorated and furnished to complement the period of the property. The main living space is open plan and feels bright and spacious, thanks to high ceilings and large, traditional windows. Spend time stretched out on the sofas watching the TV/DVD or share romantic dinners for two at the dining table. The galley kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering holiday and looks out over the garden, providing delightful views whilst you cook. When it’s time for bed, retire to the grand king-size bedroom for a good night’s rest. A stylish bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, you’ll have your own private garden with furniture, as well as access to the extensive shared grounds and tennis court.

From the property, it’s easy to visit Snape Maltings (7.5 miles). Here, you can potter amongst the high-end boutiques and galleries, and maybe even enjoy a concert or boat ride along the river. It’s also a great starting point for picturesque countryside. The ancient market town of Framlingham is well worth a visit, with many independent restaurants and pubs, cute shops, and a 12th-century castle to explore. Heading to the coast, the popular seaside resorts of Southwold (20.5 miles) and Aldeburgh (11 miles) make lovely days out.

Beautiful setting. Very peaceful and relaxing. Well equipped apartment. Ideal location for visiting places along the Suffolk coast. Access being up an external spiral staircase could be restrictive for some but did not bother us. Welcome pack of eggs and home made jam very welcome.

Its a lovely apartment, and our second stay there. There are so many lovely touches - the Fairtrade teas and coffees, the home made jam, eggs and fresh veg in the fridge. Everything is as it should be to make one welcome and comfortable.

We have stayed in a large number of holiday rentals, and this is one of the very best. It is a lovely oasis set in gorgeous gardens, with high ceilings and large windows. Thoughtful touches abound, and we lacked for nothing. We appreciated the generously provided eggs, vegetables, and flowers. We had hesitated to book it because of the exterior spiRead moreral staircase, but it was not an issue at all, and we would absolutely book this cottage again as our first choice in the area, and heartily recommend it to those looking for peace and beauty. Light and airy flat in a superb garden. Quiet location but ideal base for Sutton Hoo, Orford and the other coastal resorts. Beautiful area. We enjoyed the grounds and watching the chickens, horses, sheep etc.

What a wonderful place to stay for a complete rest! The comfort, care and thoughtfulness provided in Garden View by the owners for guests is outstanding. The property is very airy, light and well equipped. We really appreciated the welcome tray with homemade preserves and fresh eggs, tea and coffee. How wonderful also, to be allowed to walk aroundRead more the extensive gardens of their home, which we loved as gardeners. Parham is a quiet hamlet, but ideally placed to use as a base. We enjoyed the local walks Sue mentioned and our visit to the local garden centre for a lovely coffee and scones, not to mention the well stocked nursery. Brochures galore of Suffolk destinations were on hand to browse. The spiral staircase was not an issue and car parking excellent. We would love to visit again. Hide

We loved the property. it was warm and very comfortable. There were some lovely little touches too: the vase of flowers to welcome us (daffodils and winter jasmine), Fairtrade tea and coffee (a first for us, anywhere), homemade marmalade (which was delicious), 6 eggs (though we didn't eat them) and a very good selection of local guide books.
