Find peace and quiet in this cosy and tranquil cottage just a fifteen minute walk away from the idyllic seaside location of Southwold. Families and couples alike will love returning home to this beautiful property after a day at the beach building sandcastles and dipping their toes in the sea, or walking along the scenic Suffolk Coast Path.

The front door opens up into the living room where two cosy sofas, and a TV offer a sublime spot to relax in the evenings. Next door, the kitchen takes inspiration from the seaside location and the colourful beach huts of Southwold in its style, pairing pastel colours with natural wood to create a wonderful space for the chef of the family. Completing the ground floor is the traditional dining table with seats for four to gather together to share a meal and a wood burner effect electric fire. Upstairs is a bright and airy double bedroom, decorated in muted tones to create a calm environment, as well as a playful twin bedroom, well-suited to children. The bathroom features a clad bathtub and pretty hues of blue amongst the white fittings offering a lovely setting for a long bubble bath. To the rear of the property you’ll find a patio garden with a few seats where you can sit and enjoy the planted borders when the sun is shining.

Embark on an adventure to Dunwich (8 miles), be it on foot or by car and you can enjoy the patchwork of terrains from ancient woodland to beautiful stretches of beach. Endless hours of fun can be had here strolling through the trees and spotting wildlife, with RSPB Minsmere backing one end of the shore ensuring there is plenty to see. Closer to your holiday home, Reydon Woods (1 mile) is filled with native trees and shrubs, putting on a spectacular display of bluebells in the spring months in particular.

A lovely little cottage and would thoroughly recommend, although the steep stairs are not suitable for everyone.

Lovely little cottage, we were there between Christmas and New Year and it's a perfect location for walks to the beach and getting some fresh air.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location. We did worry about the stairs as they are so steep. Very nice relaxing garden, we enjoyed many cups of tea out there in the sunshine. All in all a very nice break.

The staircase was I think mentioned, but I'm backing it up: very very steep. It's not a 'fault', just a feature of Victorian terraced properties but it's significant. The cottage is as described. The back ensuite bedroom is lovely. You might have to duck a bit if you're over 5'6" in the shower :)) Can't be helped: ceiling height. Good there is a shRead moreower. Loved the artwork in the house: a generous aspect. Hide

A home away from home with an owner who has thought what would be needed to enjoy your stay. An extensive array of books, games, toys, dvds and walk literature to satisfy everyone. Beautiful artwork. Very comfortable beds. Used the garden to eat out in and listen to the birds.

Charming cottage which felt like a home away from home. Location was perfect as the main high st in Southwold with shops and restaurants was only a 3 min drive away. The kitchen overlooked a lovely garden area and parking was easy (we just parked across the road). Kitchen had everything you could need and bathroom was nice. Lounge had comfy sofa wiRead moreth blankets and a smart tv which was good for a cosy night in. Loved our time at the cottage and would definitely stay again. Hide

Clean and comfortable cottage, very well equipped, in a good location being only 15/20 minutes walk from center of Southwold. Pleasant back garden, and ability to park in road opposite a bonus. Provides an ideal base from which to visit Southwold, would definitely stay again.
