The period cottage enjoys a fantastic, central location in Woodbridge, just a short walk from the town’s picturesque river and excellent array of shops and eateries. The property sleeps five guests and makes a great base for families with older children or groups of friends, with a choice of dining areas both inside and in the garden. From the property, enjoy day trips to Sutton Hoo, RSPB Havergate Island, and Aldeburgh Beach (all within 20 miles).

The end-of-terrace Victorian cottage is full of character, with beautiful original features sitting alongside contemporary furniture and home comforts. The bright and airy lounge is a lovely place to relax, with high ceilings, stunning sash windows, and an ornamental fireplace. Spend time here, reading a book on the comfortable sofa or watching a film on the TV/DVD. The sociable kitchen/diner is flooded with natural light and is a gorgeous place for entertaining, with plenty of worktop space and a table to seat everyone. The three elegant bedrooms are located upstairs, along with a delightful family bathroom. The enclosed garden is a tranquil haven for al fresco dining and sipping sundowners, with seating areas both in the courtyard and on the lawn.

Wander out of your front door and into the cute, narrow streets of Woodbridge. Take time to explore the independent shops, before dining in one of the many cute cafes or cosy pubs. There are some beautiful walks in and around the town, including along the River Deben and in Rendlesham Forest. History enthusiasts must take a trip to Sutton Hoo (3 miles) – the burial site of Anglo-Saxon kings – as well as the fascinating Tidal Mill Museum. Suffolk’s gorgeous beaches are within easy reach, your nearest being the popular seaside spot of Aldeburgh (18 miles).

The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and in a great location . Parking is tricky and requires a bit of planning , just need to be cautious when stepping out of the cottage as no pavement. Would stay there again .

The cottage was all we hoped for and more - cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Everything in Woodbridge was right on our doorstep and an ideal base from which to explore many other Suffolk attractions.

This is such a great place to stay - suiting our needs perfectly. It's central, full of charm and comfortable too. This is the second time we've stayed in this property, but probably not the last!
