Cosy and welcoming for up to four people, this two-bedroom cottage has an inviting interior and a safely enclosed garden. Located in the charming village of Ashley, it’s conveniently close to Newmarket if you fancy a day at the races, and within walking distance of the village pub.

Leave coats and shoes in the porch and head straight into the charming lounge, which includes comfortable seating arranged around a wood burner and a Smart TV – ideal for a quiet night at home, perhaps with a good book or streaming a favourite show. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen/diner, using produce picked up from local farm shops or markets on your travels. You’ll have a dishwasher to help clean up, and there’s also a Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important morning wake-up. Completing the ground floor is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, while on the first floor there are two pretty bedrooms, a king-size and a twin. For fresh-air fun and outdoor meals, the back garden has a furnished patio as well as a lawned area. Parking is on-street, subject to availability.

Stroll less than 100 metres from the cottage to find the village shop and pub, or explore local walking and cycling trails. Head to the racecourse at Newmarket, just 4 miles away, or to beautiful Bury St Edmunds, 13 miles away, renowned as Suffolk’s foodie capital, and boasting a vibrant mix of markets, independent and well-known shops, beautiful green spaces and a thriving arts scene. The National Trust’s nature reserve at Wicken Fen is 15 miles away, and the cathedral city of Ely is 18 miles from home.

The Cottage was located in the beautiful Eastern Cambridgeshire countryside. A very nice village, and a beautiful warm property, which was very nicely decorated, very clean and well maintained.
