Beautiful quiet location, about 10 min walk to beach, perfect for early morning dips in sea. Great walking and cycling locally. Good size home for our family of 5. Older property with some quirks and could do with a bit of general upkeep but we enjoyed our stay. Would not recommend if you have any mobility issues due to steep staircase.

A beautifully rustic and remote cottage, comfortable beds, nice bed linen and towels. It does need some close attention to upkeep and cleanliness but a great base for the area.

The rough lane leading to the cottage is unsuitable for low cars. If you sleep in a comfortable bed at your own home, you will find these uncomfortable. The cleanliness of the cottage hadn't been checked before our arrival. The cutlery draw wasn't clean & the oven tray was greasy. The garden wasn't enclosed as expected, therefore we had to keep Read moreour small dogs on lead at all times in the garden. The owner of the house had made an effort to dress the cottage & make it look quaint. However our stay was spoilt by the lack of cleanliness in some areas. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you had some issues during your stay. Please be assured we will aim to resolve the concerns raised in time for the next guests. Hide

Great location, easy walk to pub and Dunwich Beach and further afield Minsmere RSPB and Walberswick. Point to note cottage is quirky, low ceilings steep stairs etc. In addition although it wasnt an issue for us there is no wifi and limited phone signal which may be of concern for others. It should be noted that track up to cottage is very narrowRead more with potholes and not suitable for low vehicles. All that said nothing would stop us staying here again. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in what was an excellent location with a beach in walking distance and it was nice to have a garden gate leading straight on to some nice walks for the dog.
