One of the best bird-watching sites in the country is also close by, at RSPB Minsmere (4 miles). Take in far-reaching views from the scenic Suffolk Coast Path linking Dunwich to the pretty seaside town of Southwold (6.5 miles), with golden sands and an Edwardian pier.
