Half a mile away, Sudbury Water Meadows is a wonderful place to walk with riverside trails, wildflowers lining the pathways and a variety of animals to spot along the circular route. Head to National Trust Melford Hall to visit the historic Tudor house with its moat, deer park and well-maintained gardens which are a pleasure to walk through at all times of the year. Further afield, visit the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB (20 miles) for a change of scenery and marvel at the rugged coastline. From here you’ll have easy access to Dedham Vale AONB (18 miles) and Dovercourt Beach (30 miles).
