We and the hairy hound enjoyed our week at Three Birds cottage, had daily walks along the grassy dunes at Kessingland beach. Walked to Lowestoft one day (about five miles) had tea/cake at Thatched Cottage then caught the bus back. Saturdays theres tea/cake at the community centre on the green opposite the church or pop along to the Mancave (CharRead moreity where they fix things for a donation) have a chat/cuppa with the local chaps. Drove to Southwold, Waberswick, Beccles, Aldeburgh all easy to get to, you can also catch the bus from Kessingland. The only negative was the fire doors in every room which were difficult to open as heavy and snapped shut, perhaps they could be adjusted? The cottage is in a great location, spotless, had a contemporary decor with a high standard of fixtures and every possible quality extra you could ask for. Didnt use any of the local restaurants. The Cottage is very well situated for visiting many places along the coast. It is exceptionally well equipped and really comfortable. It is in a quiet area and the neighbours were pleasant and helpful. My only problem was that many of the doors in the cottage are really heavy to open and close. For someone like me with arthritis, it was quite dRead moreifficult . However, the positives about my stay by far outweighed this. Hide

Overall it was a clean comfortable cottage. Our only downside was having to go downstairs in the night for the toilet. I wouldnt recommend this cottage to friends due to downstairs toilet.

A third dining chair would of been better than the bench which was suggested in the holiday pack.

A bath is not too important particularly when having to climb in and out to use the shower. Would suggest a wet room or shower cubicle would improve the situation.
