This welcoming and spacious house is in a quiet location in unspoilt Walberswick, and boasts plenty of space, both indoors and out, for friends or families to relax and recharge. In less than a mile, you can reach the village’s long, sand-and-shingle beach; wild and windswept, it’s a favourite with families, dog walkers and swimmers. Within half a mile, you’ll find a selection of pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and boutique shops to explore. For a day outdoors, the nature reserve along the River Blyth estuary is home to birds, otters and deer. Bird watchers will also want to head to RSPB Minsmere, 8.5 miles away. Lively Southwold is just across the river, a 2-mile walk away which includes the summertime foot ferry, while atmospheric Dunwich – where you can see the ruins of a medieval friary - is only 6 miles away. Aldeburgh is also a great day out and is just 16.5 miles away.
Start to unwind the moment you step into the light-filled conservatory, where you’ll have lovely views of the garden as you dine around the farmhouse-style table. The theme continues in the delightful, country-style kitchen, with its Shaker-style cupboards, tiled splashbacks and gathered curtains. This room has everything the cook will need to conjure up tasty holiday meals – including a dishwasher to help clean up. When it’s time to sit back for the evening, you can either snuggle up in the main lounge, lighting the fire for some winter warmth, or in the cosy snug. Both rooms have a Smart TV. Take the stairs to the first floor to find the three bedrooms, all boasting pretty curtains and bed linens; all three bedrooms share a handsome family bathroom.
This detached house sits on a large plot and boasts a wraparound garden with an extensive, well-kept lawn and mature trees and shrubs. When you feel like a morning coffee in the sun or a meal alfresco, the patio has dining furniture and a charcoal BBQ. In an outhouse, you’ll find laundry facilities plus space to store bikes, and there’s room on the drive to park up to three cars.
