This period cottage, full of charm and character, is ideal for friends or families looking for a rural retreat. Kenninghall is a rural, South Norfolk village, peaceful and quiet and a world away from the everyday rush of life. It offers lovely walking and cycling under the huge skies Norfolk is so famous for and has great amenities with a village shop and pub. The market towns of Attleborough and Wymondham are just 8 and 12 miles away respectively and give a flavour of traditional Norfolk life, providing some great shopping and eating opportunities. Snetterton Race Circuit, just 5 miles away, is a must-visit place for all motorsport enthusiasts. Banham Zoo is home to over 2,000 animals from around the world and is only 2 miles away. Thetford Forest is also just 15 miles away and is a great day out for families and friends of all ages.

Former home to poet and author Oliver Bernard, this cosy cottage has been lovingly restored and renovated whilst maintaining the property’s original character and charm. As you step through the front door, you are welcomed into the open-plan living and dining area with comfortable seating, dining table and chairs and a wood burner, the perfect place to sit back and relax in front of the flames. The living area leads to the kitchen, which although compact, is very well equipped and also provides access to the rear garden. On the ground floor is where you will also find the property’s shower room with a shower cubicle and a WC. As to be expected with a period cottage, the steep and narrow staircase leads you up to the master bedroom with a double bed and leads through into the second bedroom with a single bed. Similar to the ground floor, the upstairs is packed full of character and charm with exposed woodwork and wooden floors.

At the rear of the cottage, you will find the enclosed garden which can be accessed from the kitchen. Directly outside the back door is a lovely patio area, ideal for enjoying some al fresco dining, with steps leading you up to a lovely lawned area.

Fantastic spot, amazing building. I think its now our favourite little holiday let weve been to. Very tastefully modernised to not take away from the buildings heritage and 'old cottage feel'. The heated tiles were a surprising plus! and to top it all, not a 'live laugh love' type decoration to be found, very refreshing to see (or not see) ;) 5 staRead morers! Hide
