A beautifully converted barn complex in a tranquil, rural setting offers the perfect retreat for a family or friends to share a special occasion together. All four barns are separate and self-contained but, together, create one splendid holiday home, sleeping 12 guests across six bedrooms. The property, set close to the village of All Saints South Elmham, has a large, shared games barn, with a welcome for up to four pets. The historic market towns of Bungay and Halesworth are both within 5 miles, and pretty Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, is just 13.5 miles away.
The barns’ design is flexible to suit guests’ needs. There are two barns with super-king-size beds, which can be made up as twins, plus an en-suite shower room and an open-plan living area. The third and fourth barns offer the same accommodation but with additional twin beds which can be zip-linked to form a super-king-size. Each barn is tastefully furnished, with a light and spacious open-plan living space housing comfortable seating, a neat kitchen and a cosy dining area. A half-wall of original bricks and timber beams contains the pretty bedrooms. Outside, the games barn has a TV, a pool table and more, together with a long dining table for guests to enjoy a meal together. The garden has outdoor furniture and a large pond, where children and dogs must be supervised.
The village pub, within a mile, serves local ales and home-cooked food, with more eateries available in nearby Bungay and Halesworth. Both pretty towns have a good range of independent shops and a weekly market. Explore Bungay’s narrow streets with charming, painted houses, the castle ruins and lunchtime concerts in the historic church. Southwold has a wealth of attractions, including a sandy beach, an Edwardian pier and the town’s famous inland working lighthouse.
