Property code: OC-H27787

Bring your family or friends together at this stunning detached property home which nestles in attractive surroundings 1 mile from the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh. The property is the ideal base for naturalists, walkers and water sports lovers keen to explore the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB and features a spacious lounge, a formal dining room and a south-facing garden surrounded by one acre of grounds.

Your new home from home sits well back from the main road that runs into Aldeburgh. The two-storey property always makes a huge impression, even from the driveway, as everyone gets an idea of the space they will be able to relax in. The interior is warm and traditional, with large, bright rooms peppered with tasteful soft furnishings that are sympathetic to its age. Sink into the comfort of the lounge between long days out, encouraging any pianists in the group to entertain everyone before parties in the formal dining room opposite. There is plenty of room for foodies to experiment with local ingredients, with the benefit of a utility room to the side, too. Those who need to stay in touch with the office during their holidays have use of a quiet study area. There are four bedrooms at the property: a ground floor en-suite double bedroom, and upstairs, a suputious en-suite super-king-size bedroom, a super-king-size bedroom with a reading nook; and a twin bedroom enjoying garden views. A family bathroom stands nearby. The beautiful south-facing garden is a real treat, a place to reconnect with nature as much as raise a glass during an alfresco supper.

Aldeburgh (1 mile) is typical of the towns and villages that line the Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB, with umpteen walking routes leading to and from its beach. The town’s pubs and restaurants will be a hit with seafoodies, culture vultures will love Snape Maltings (5.2 miles) and birders will be in their element at Minsmere Nature Reserve (8 miles).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hawkeye House. We were a 3-generation family group and the house provided for all our needs. Aldeburgh is a lovely little town and the house is spacious, beautifully and comfortably furnished and extremely well equipped. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the beds are comfortable. The gardeRead moren is wonderful, especially with young children, and the outdoor dining facilities were great. The owner was very helpful in recommending a garage to solve the car problem we had whilst we were there. We were all sad to leave. Hide

We stayed as a family of 8 adults and this property was perfect with plenty of space and several reception areas which is essential when you are away with a large adult group. The garden was lovely and the location was good . However, a 15 minute walk to the beach and town may not suit a young family looking for a beach centre holiday but for us thRead moree property was perfect. The downstairs bedroom with its bathroom was particularly useful as my wife has mobility problems. Hide

We took my elderly parents and a friend of theirs to Hawkeye House and they all loved it. That we could walk into Aldeburgh with its wonderful food shops and the access it gives to the beautiful Suffolk coast made the stay one that was unforgettable.
