This stunning holiday home is in the historic town of Halesworth, close to its fabulous array of shops and eateries. The spacious property sleeps five guests and suits both families and groups of friends looking to explore this picturesque corner of Suffolk. You’ll be just 9.5 miles from the coast and also within easy reach of the southern edge of the Broads (12 miles). In the evenings, relax in the pretty garden or snuggle up by the wood burner in the lounge.

This quirky cottage has bags of personality, with period features, statement wallpapers, and vibrant paintwork. Relax in the cosy lounge, where an exposed brick fireplace housing a roaring wood burner takes centre stage; curl up in the armchair by the window, or stretch out on the sofa to watch the Smart TV. From here, steps lead down to the colourful kitchen/diner, where you can gather on the bench seating around the dining table for mealtimes as a group. On a summer’s day, open the patio doors to extend the social space outside. The cottage has a ground-floor small double bedroom. The remaining bedrooms and family bathroom are upstairs. Outside, an attractive, enclosed garden awaits, with a lawn and a patio area for al fresco dining.

The pretty market town of Halesworth has a great range of independent shops in its pedestrianised shopping area, known as Thoroughfare. You’ll also find many cafes, pubs, and restaurants to refuel in after a day of retail therapy. Heading to the coast, you’ll find the traditional seaside town of Southwold (9.5 miles), where you can relax on the sandy beach or take a stroll along the promenade. From Southwold, a foot ferry takes you across to the idyllic village of Walberswick.

One of the most beautiful and quirky cottages we have ever stayed in. Some internal steps to cope with so may not suit everyone but to us, it was perfect. The attention to detail and quality of furnishings and decor is excellent. Location is fabulous, with several great cafes and pubs to sit and watch the world go by (particularly recommend the Read moreWhite Hart). Great to have a parking space albeit a little tricky to manoeuvre to start with but very soon got used to it and no problems (we have a Maxda CX30 as a guide). Dog friendly garden which the dogs loved. Would definitely book again. Hide

The cottage was really pretty and cosy. The bathroom was a particular lovely treat. The owners were on hand and really helpful and friendly. The area is gorgeous and everyone welcomed our dog which was a huge bonus. We had a lovely holiday.

A very cosy cottage with all necessary equipment. We found it extremely warm but the owners kindly took the secondary glazing units down to allow for fresh air to circulate. Lovely decor and a short stroll to the village. One parking space but extra parking on street nearby. Very dog friendly. Would recommend to other guests.

Lovely cottage in a very convenient location. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout. Quirky layout that works with the sloping landscape so ground floor is on three levels. This means the ground floor bedroom is far from the other two - not a problem for us but might not suit families with young children. Supermarket and shops / takeaways Read morenearby. Drive for parking off road is nice as the road is permit only, but if your car is bigger than a small hatchback you will probably need to park elsewhere. Good base for visiting Norwich, Sutton Hoo and Southwold. Hide

We have just spent a great week in this very quirky cottage. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, met all our requirements for a lovely stay. The location is great, close to the town for an easy walk to the shops, visit museum and do the various town trails. Lots of places to eat. There are countryside walks from the doorstep.
