This stunning holiday home is in the historic town of Halesworth, close to its fabulous array of shops and eateries. The spacious property sleeps five guests and suits both families and groups of friends looking to explore this picturesque corner of Suffolk. You’ll be just 9.5 miles from the coast and also within easy reach of the southern edge of the Broads (12 miles). In the evenings, relax in the pretty garden or snuggle up by the wood burner in the lounge.
This quirky cottage has bags of personality, with period features, statement wallpapers, and vibrant paintwork. Relax in the cosy lounge, where an exposed brick fireplace housing a roaring wood burner takes centre stage; curl up in the armchair by the window, or stretch out on the sofa to watch the Smart TV. From here, steps lead down to the colourful kitchen/diner, where you can gather on the bench seating around the dining table for mealtimes as a group. On a summer’s day, open the patio doors to extend the social space outside. The cottage has a ground-floor small double bedroom. The remaining bedrooms and family bathroom are upstairs. Outside, an attractive, enclosed garden awaits, with a lawn and a patio area for al fresco dining.
The pretty market town of Halesworth has a great range of independent shops in its pedestrianised shopping area, known as Thoroughfare. You’ll also find many cafes, pubs, and restaurants to refuel in after a day of retail therapy. Heading to the coast, you’ll find the traditional seaside town of Southwold (9.5 miles), where you can relax on the sandy beach or take a stroll along the promenade. From Southwold, a foot ferry takes you across to the idyllic village of Walberswick.
