Bring together your nearest and dearest in these two beautiful properties in the picturesque village of Yoxford. The main cottage sleeps four guests, and an additional two guests can be accommodated in the annexe – perfect for two families holidaying together. You’ll be close to the seaside resorts of Southwold (10.5 miles) and Aldeburgh (12.5 miles), and heading inland you’ll soon reach the historic market town of Framlingham (9.5 miles).

The main cottage is bursting with character and period features, and the traditional decor and furniture really complement the property’s original style. The cosy lounge is a delightful place to unwind, with plump sofas nestled around a TV and wood burner-effect electric fire. There’s also a cosy snug area, meaning everyone can spread out and relax during the holiday. Just off the living area, down a couple of steps, is an elegant dining room for enjoying mealtimes together, and from here you’ll find the farmhouse-style kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday, and there’s a sweet breakfast table where you can sit with a morning coffee. Upstairs, via a steep, spiral staircase, you’ll find the charming bedrooms. The king-size bedroom is up a couple of steps and has an en-suite bathroom, and there’s also a twin bedroom. The spacious Jack-and-Jill family bathroom adjoins the twin bedroom. The separate annexe is set next to the main cottage, and has an open-plan kitchen/diner on the ground floor, along with a bathroom. Upstairs you’ll find an inviting double bedroom with a cosy lounge area with a sofa and TV. The enclosed, cottage-style garden is a tranquil haven of pretty flowers, mature shrubs, and winding paths. There’s a choice of seating areas and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Please note, the garden leads down to the river, and children should be supervised at all times.

The attractive village of Yoxford has independent boutiques and antique shops to peruse, before popping into a cute cafe or cosy pub for a bite to eat. After lunch, take a stroll through the beautiful parklands surrounding the village. The traditional seaside town of Aldeburgh is 12.5 miles away and has a fabulous pebble beach and a long promenade lined with colourful villas. Pick up something for supper from the fishermen’s huts on the beach, or sample some delicious seafood at one of the town’s many restaurants.
