Escape to the Suffolk Coast for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, beaches and quaint towns. Make yourself at home in this traditional and cosy cottage with river views in the historic village of Yoxford – with properties that date back to the 14th century. Relax in the garden under the gazebo while your dinner for your and your small family sizzles on the BBQ.

Step inside to find a lounge with exposed wooden beams, a fireplace with a wood burner-effect electric fire and homely decor around the two comfortable sofas. There is also a dining table with seating for four. Continue into the bright farmhouse-style kitchen which is bold blues and calming creams, a characterful wooden door and a breakfast table. Upstairs is a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite and a twin room. Outside you can find a large garden with shrubbery, a BBQ and seating which leads down to the gazebo which offers views of the River Yox.

The sleepy village of Yoxford is an excellent base for exploring the nearby Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers a local pub (0.5 miles) if you’re in need of a night off from cooking. Head east to reach the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve (5.5 miles) where you’ll find hiking trails, a tea room, woodland and wetland. Next to this is the National Trust Dunwich Heath and Beach (6.5 miles) where you can go for a dip or stroll along the seafront. Discover the local history at the 14th-century Leiston Abbey ruins (5 miles).

We loved our stay at the Coach House Cottage. Very comfortable, warm and spacious. The garden is a real treat, with plenty of sitting spaces to enjoy it. We found the Black Dog deli just 5 doors down for a really great breakfast/brunch.

Lovely cottage! We stayed here for 5 weeks while waiting to move into our new house. We had a very comfortable stay throughout, enjoying going out visiting many beautiful places on the Suffolk east coast nearby. This was a great solution for us - many thanks!

As an avid user of Airbnb it was really good experience booking with yourselves. The property was so lovely, (not my first choice which had to be changed at the last minute), the garden enchanting and the village quintessentially English. The change of property was managed really well too
