We have spent a wonderful week in a beautiful cottage, weather perfect, gardens a delight. The shower in the Stable Block is difficult to achieve a good temperature with and the kitchen lacks a few items such as a butter dish and serving dishes.

A couple of things. Overall we were really impressed. 1. We had no hot water when we arrived on the Saturday. We rang the office on Monday and the response was good but we wasted a day as we had to wait in for the plumber. He was great. Turns out the hot water had been turned off. Not sure why - it would be good if hot water is checked before guesRead morets arrive. 2. The TV in the stable had normal channels. However, in the lounge it didnt. It was plugged into an aerial socket but no freeview etc. You could watch most channels live (but not channel 4) but you had to have accounts and log in to all the apps. Many problems with this. It meant you had to have accounts - we did but my parents whore in their 80s wouldnt. You also couldnt flick between channels which was very annoying and there wasnt a guide so you didnt know what was on. Finally, we had to remember to log out of all the apps when we left which was time consuming. There were no reminders to do this. If you left yourself logged in and others used your log in it could cause problems. It was basically a smart TV that hadnt been connected to an aerial or a freeview box. 3. There were two dirty, smelly cloths left under the sink. Overall, we were really impressed and pleased with the cottage. The water issue was a glitch and Im sure wouldnt happen again. However, we do feel the TV issue needs to be rectified, especially as the TV in the stables worked normally. It was very inconvenient! Hide
