Property code: OC-LUXL

This idyllic holiday home is set on a working farm estate in the beautiful, rural escarpment of Suffolk. Nestled amongst acres of lush farmland, fields and woodland, this one-bedroom retreat is perfect for a romantic getaway for two. Make yourselves at home in the stylish open-plan living space or watch the sun go down together in the private courtyard.

On the ground floor, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room is a relaxing space to put your feet up. Snuggle up on the corner sofa and switch on the TV for a cosy movie night. When you’re feeling peckish, the kitchen space has everything you could possibly need to conjure a feast, which you can serve at the dining table for two. Also on the ground floor is the shower room. Head up the stairs when night falls to sink beneath the sheets of the king-size bed, which sits beneath a low, sloping ceiling with Velux windows. Morning coffees are best enjoyed in the enclosed rear garden, sat on the patio with a view of the rolling fields.

Just an 8-mile drive away, the picturesque market town of Woodbridge offers lots of things to do, especially for couples who enjoy the great outdoors. Take a romantic stroll along the River Deben, enjoy a tour around Woodbridge Tide Mill, or visit Sutton Hoo – one of the most important archaeological sites in England. And if you fancy a round of golf, there’s a course only 2.5 miles away from the cottage, plus a myriad of walking and cycling trails through the surrounding countryside.

Bonus that the owners provided milk, eggs, butter, biscuits, crisps, bread, beverages, sugar, cruet, washing-up liquid and laundry detergent.

Lovely property, well thought out, brilliantly stocked and very generous welcome pack. Comfortable sofas and bed. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay in the countryside but only 5 minutes to Ipswich hospital. Well placed for visiting Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe etc.

Lux Lodge is a perfect little hideaway set in the most beautiful surroundings. It is equipped with everything you could need, and feels instantly cosy and comfortable the moment you walk in. There is a footpath immediately outside the front door which leads to beautiful rural walks in each direction. Due to circumstances I have lived here (with a fRead moreew breaks) from early June to September, and I can honestly say it felt like a home from home. I was very sorry to leave! Hide

The beauty of this place is that its one of the best in Ipswich. More than just the location, the host makes you feel right at home. So, if you're planning a trip to Ipswich, consider making this your home away from home.

This is the first time we have booked such a holiday and taken out two small dogs along. The Lodge is in excellent condition and has everything we needed. It's location is great for walking the dogs and is also close to a shopping centre and of course many small country towns and villages. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this propertRead morey without hesitation. Hide

The cottage is immaculate and fully equipped. It is very comfortable and welcoming and perfectly situated to be close to nearby towns, but in a secluded location. The towels and bedding are superb.
