Whisk your loved one away for a delightful weekend at this cosy Suffolk cottage and take your beloved four-legged friend as well. Nestled within the tranquil village of Whenhaston, the inviting one-bedroom retreat makes a charming and romantic base right on the edge of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a lawned garden for your pet to race about in, while you relax in the sunshine, the cottage is 5.5 miles from the charming seaside village of Walberswick and 7 miles from colourful Southwold.
Let yourselves into the cottage, which has underfloor heating downstairs, and wander through to the kitchen/diner to unpack the fresh Suffolk provisions you have stocked up on at farm shops and rustle up a candle-lit dinner to enjoy together at the table. Afterwards, take a bottle of wine through to the lounge, where you can choose a book, play a game or find a good film on TV. There is also a WC downstairs. When you are ready to turn in for the night, climb the stairs up to the first floor to lay your heads in the king-size bedroom. There is also a family bathroom up here. Enjoy the garden to your hearts’ content. Dine out here on warm days and sip a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The garden has an access point and laundry room which is shared with a neighbouring cottage. Parking is on the street, subject to availability.
Follow riverside, marsh and heathland walks through the area of outstanding natural beauty. Shop and dine out in Southwold. The wonderful outdoor Theatre and restaurant Husk with its supper clubs are less than two miles away in nearby Thorington. Spend time in Dunwich, 5 miles away, and also on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. This quiet village, which was once a bustling medieval port that disappeared beneath the waves, has a lovely beach and picturesque heath.
