A sun-set facing sitting room is at the front of the property, whilst the dining room and well equipped galley kitchen overlook the garden to the rear. There is a small, handy WC/shower room located on the ground floor along with a utility area. Upstairs, you will find two light and spacious bedrooms with zip and link beds that can be prepared as super kings or twins to suit all needs as well as a box room for suitcases etc. There is also a bright family bathroom with a bath and shower. 

Iolanthe's private garden gives you a tranquil escape - perfect for alfresco dining, a BBQ or a relaxing read. 

This detached homely property is set in the hub of Southwold, where you will find plenty to do. Explore the likes of RSPB Minsmere, historic Dunwich and Snape Maltings - all an easy drive away.

Super stay at Iolanthe, good position for the beach, pier, town & walks along the front. Well equipped, nice tray of goodies on arrival, very comfy beds. A wonderful local range of eateries & shops. Lovely little Arts Theatre. Within easy range of some pretty villages and places of interest.

Have stayed there 3 times now as we have a gentleman with Parkinson and the stairs are very manageable unlike other places where stairs can be very steep. Good location for the beach and to town.

Iolanthe was very comfortable, homely and well situated for visiting the beach, pier and town. Very pretty cottage garden which I'm sure would be really enjoyed in the Summer months.

We had a lovely week in February. This cottage is lovely and in a fantastic position, minutes walk to the pier and sandy beach. There is a pretty, secluded garden, ideal place to sit in the evening or morning for breakfast. The Town is a 10 minute walk away, lots of great shops with everything you need. Although very dated this house is super clean and super comfortable and the location couldnt be better. Just a short walk into the town. Having your own parking in Southwold is a bonus too. The garden is lovely but it was too cold for us to sample sitting outside. Iolanthe is a home away from home! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with the comfiest of beds, this property is situated in the perfect location for exploring the beautiful town of Southwold. We had a very relaxing break and would recommend this place to anyone! The welcome pack was a thoughtful gesture too.

An old style house, but in tip top decoration, lovely garden to sit in when the sun shines. Ample parking space on drive and on roadside. We are thinking of booking for next year.

This is a very comfortable property with a homely feel. Great location for access to the seafront and town centre. Also very easy for the route in and our of the town. The garden is a real sun trap and perfect for morning coffee, afternoontea or evening drinks. The shallow stairs and handrails are perfect for older guests or those with limited mobiRead morelity. A most enjoyable week. We popped in to Suffolk Secrets on Monday morning and requested a teapot and 2 kitchen spotlights. These were delivered/fitted within a couple of hours. The position of the property was excellent and the house had everything we needed.
