You will be just a 100-metre walk away from all the shops, cafes and restaurants Southwold has to offer, as well as being only a short walk away from the town’s iconic and award winning sandy beach with its traditional coloured beach huts.

The light and fresh interiors offer the perfect place to relax. In the lounge, you’ll find a striking map of Southwold adorns one of the walls, so you can really get your bearings during your stay! Plenty of comfortable seating ensures you can recharge in front of the Smart TV after a fun day exploring the town and surrounding area. The open-plan kitchen/dining area is a large sociable space with wooden flooring and a chic, neutral colour scheme. There is also a handy downstairs WC. Upstairs, two inviting bedrooms await. The king-size room is a spacious haven with wooden flooring, a small sofa, and a feature fireplace, as well as its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a delightful twin, which can be made up as a super-king-size on request and has a Smart TV. The contemporary family bathroom is also on this floor.

While here, you can take a scenic stroll to the pier, with its unique shops, eateries and the famous under-the-pier show. There is also easy access to the common, and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take the ferry or row a boat from Southwold Harbour to the quaint coastal village of Walberswick and its charming, cobbled streets, just 1 mile away.

Kitchen saucepans etc need to be improved, not sufficient when cooking for four. Sofa very uncomfortable especially for people not overly tall.

This property is in a fantastic location between the high street and the common. We were disappointed by the general standard of equipment, pans scratched, chipped plates, most of the mugs and glasses were dirty and had to be washed before use. The main bathroom shower needs repairing, mentioned by a guest 5 months ago, some towels mismatched andRead more rather threadbare. While welcome packs are nice, not essential, here there wasn't even some milk in the fridge for a cuppa after a long journey. We felt as if we were not particularly welcome more that the owner felt "everything would do" for folk on holiday. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review, the equipment mentioned has now all been replaced and the shower repaired. Milk is also provided in our welcome packs. The owner has been made aware of the comments and the relevant issues rectified. Hide

Lovely apartment in a quiet cul de sac close to the town. Very comfortable with 2 large double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table for meals.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location close to the town centre and the Common (great for dog walking and views). Be aware that the owner provides a minimum of basics so do bring plenty with you - toilet rolls, hand soap, dishwasher tablets etc. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Very quiet and comfortable house. Was worried about no garden, but dogs loved the common and it wasnt an issue. Parking outside occasionally an issue but always space on the common when needed. We were very comfortable in the house.
