Couldn't have asked for more, a perfect property situated in the most beautiful location with stunning views across the farmer's fields. The property is very light and airy due to wall to wall glass doors on the side and front of the lounge area which really does contribute to a feeling of well-being. A very serene location away from the hussle anRead mored bussle of city life - just the tonic. On our arrival there was an assortment of basic provisions which was much appreciated. The property is well equipped and had all the utensils needed for our stay. The central heating is very easy to regulate with a simple thermostat to turn up or down. Nice too that the heated towel rail in the bathroom works independently of the heating - no damp towels to worry about which can be a problem in some holiday properties. Couldn't fault the shower it was efficient with good pressure and consistent hot water. The highlight of our stay was to see some of the local wildlife literally on our doorstep with deer and hares passing the property usually very early in the morning We also visited the pretty local village Orford, NT Sutton Hoo, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge and Walberswick which are all easily accessible from the property location. It was a pleasure to meet Alison the owner of the property who was really friendly and approachable. All in all a great week and the weather was for the most part lovely and sunny. Just perfect. This a very, quiet, clean, light and airy property with magnificent views over the farm land though to Orford Ness. We loved seeing the hares of an early morning or evening. Daisy, who looks after the properties on the site was very friendly and helpful. A walk into Orford is 20 minutes each way and dinner at the Jolly Sailor was very good. Going Read morethe other way, a visit to Snape Maltings is a must. The Plough and Sail is also good. Sutton Hoo is 20 minutes away in the car and we had an enjoyable day there in brilliant sunshine. Aldeburgh was also a worthwhile and enjoyable visit. Lodge Farm is ideally placed for all these attractions. It's set right on the edge of Rendlesham Forrest. We didn't have time to explore on foot, but driving to and from Woodbridge is just lovely. Just be aware of the possibility of deer suddenly emerging into the road, as we encountered on a couple of occasions. We will be back again. Hide
