This gorgeous ground-floor apartment in the heart of charming Walberswick is perfect for couples, families or friends looking for a relaxing haven close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The apartment is less than a mile from Walberswick's sand and pebble beach and the village green, with its gift shops, cafes, and eateries. The village also has an excellent delicatessen, so foodies are well catered for.

This attractive property set on one level is spacious and elegantly presented. The thoughtful art and decor are set off well by the light-filled rooms. A soothing and inviting ambience, especially in the large lounge, makes this an ideal social space. Relax into the sofas and armchairs and watch TV or pop a log into the wood burner for cosy chats in the cooler months. Basket of logs provided. Patio doors open onto steps leading to the private garden. The contemporary kitchen makes cooking a treat as you rustle up some tasty treats. The traditional seaside town of Southwold, with its colourful beach huts, award-winning pier and Adnams Brewery, is 1.5 miles away either on foot or by bicycle via the towpath along the River Blyth and over the Bailey bridge or across on the seasonal passenger ferry (Easter to end of September). The same journey by car is eight miles. The area around Walberswick is ideal for walking, cycling, and exploring the wealth of attractions, from the art and delicious fish and chips at Aldeburgh (15 miles) to the peace of the Broads at Carlton Marshes (18 miles), which is a lovely spot to let the kids get close to nature and is accessible for all ages.

This is the second time we have stayed at 1 Millstones, and we had a brilliant week. The weather was amazing, so we made good use of the lovely garden and beaches of Warberswick and Southwold. A beautiful property! A lovely tranquil setting. We loved the peaceful garden. This accomodation is spacious but still has a cosy feel. Loved the thoughtfulness of the toys for the kids and it felt like a home away from home. Would 100% recommend!

Wonderful cottage in the best location - so quiet, yet near the beach, the shops and the deli. Comfy beds and sofa, love the piano! Pretty, secluded garden too.

An old property, in very peaceful settings with a lovely garden and not far to walk to beach, pubs, shops, quay. Quirky lighting - no ceiling lights, loads of lamps. Our third visit, will certainly be back again.

1, Millstones combines character with comfort. It is perfectly located on a quiet road, close to the beach, village centre and two great pubs. Its our third visit to the house and returning this year felt like returning home.
