A gorgeous cottage on the outskirts of the village of Sotterley is ideal for couples, families or friends looking for rural tranquillity within easy reach of the iconic seaside town of Southwold. Located in the quiet and relaxing countryside, walkers and cyclists will enjoy having paths and bridleways to explore from the doorstep.

This splendid two-storey property has been thoughtfully designed to showcase character features such as whitewashed exposed beams and seamlessly blend them with contemporary home comforts. The front door opens into the tiled hall with carpeted stairs to the first floor. Downstairs is the sitting room stylishly furnished with rugs and a wood burner to create a cosy atmosphere. You can relax on the plush leather sofas and catch up on your favourite films on the Smart TV. The large picture window overlooking the garden ensures plenty of natural light floods the room. The kitchen has hand-built units, and everything required to cook up a storm with access to the terrace through the French doors. There is a bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - a king-size with a TV and a four-poster king-size with a TV and en-suite shower room. Outside you’ll find a terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ platform adjacent to the Summer House.

The pretty market town on Beccles (6.5 miles) makes for a lovely day out. Walk around the town and discover an eclectic mix of boutique shops along the narrow streets. Situated on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, take to the water on an organised trip or be adventurous and hire your own boat. Southwold (7 miles) is the place to head for a traditional day at the seaside. Play on the beach, walk along the pier, and visit the lighthouse before enjoying some fresh local fare. Walkers will love a day at Benacre National Nature Reserve (4.5 miles) where you can follow the coast path to the beach at Covehithe.

This cottage delivered in every sense, it was perfect for us and our dogs. The location was lovely. The property was well furnished, the bed probably the most comfortable I have slept in. The kitchen was well equipped and and the living space allowed us to relax which made the stay perfect.

Really lovely cottage with all that we needed. Very comfortable indeed. Easy access to Suffolk best places eg Southwold, Aldeburgh, Framlington etc. Local houses sell jams and veg and one even makes fresh bread.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from the cottage owner, he kindly called to let us know that the property was ready and we could arrive early as it was ready for us. The cottage is beautiful and set in a perfect tranquil location, we felt at home straight away and was very grateful for the welcome gifts left for us. The cottage is in a quiet rural location, which suits us. It's an old building that has been beautifully renovated. Comfortable and warm in winter.

We loved our week at the Granary. Plenty of space to spread out; clean, quiet, and luxurious. This was a real treat to cosy up in during the winter. We had the log fire on most days.

A lovely cottage in a very peaceful backdrop of the Suffolk countryside. We found it to be a very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. It is only a short distance drive to the beaches and lively coastal towns. The cottage was very clean and well presented. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped.

The Granary is a fabulous dog friendly property. The interior decor is very tasteful and the pantry cupboard in the kitchen an absolute gem. The garden is nice and large for our dog to do some great zoomies and also very wildlife friendly - we heard owls and green woodpeckers nearby. The area around and about is lovely with some great places tRead moreo visit in any weather and lots of fab places to eat - the Bell at Walberswick being a particular favourite of old and it didn't disappoint this time either. The cottage is a nice balance of old and new. All the rooms are light and spacious and the property is very well fitted out inside. Was nice that there was a bottle of wine and chocolates waiting for us. Overall, very happy with everything.

The country walks from the Granary are plentiful and amazing - the location is peaceful but with close proximity to Covehithe beach - dog-friendly and the best beach in Suffolk. It's the best of both worlds.
