Happy to welcome dogs too, the one-bedroom abode also makes a superb base for those eager to head out on countryside or coastal walks.

Step in from the street and make yourselves immediately at home. The lounge/diner, where you can unwind after your excursions and snuggle up in front of a good film on TV, is also the perfect place for your candle-lit dinners for two. The compact kitchen, which has both an Aga and a normal oven, has everything you need to help you prepare your feasts with the fresh delicacies you have bought in town. At the end of each eventful day, climb the steep, cottage-style stairs up to the first floor to lay your head in the comfortable double bedroom. There is also a family bathroom up here where you can soak in a long, hot bubble bath. Take the air out in the shared courtyard or wander 300 metres to Southwold Common. Parking for this cottage is on the street, subject to availability.

Explore the charming streets of Southwold on foot. Treat yourselves to a brewery tour, visit the lighthouse and stroll down to the pier just over 0.5 miles away. Have a day out to explore the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visit Dunwich, 7.5 miles away and famous for its history as a medieval port that disappeared beneath the waves. Walk along the secluded beach here or through the colourful heathland.

I only made a short visit to see the cottage as one of my dogs was ill and I knew I couldnt stay there for the week as planned. I wanted to see if it was suitable for a visit in the future but I definitely wouldnt book again, it is not suitable for a pet as advertised. Disappointed to find not even a complimentary pint of milk in the fridge let aloRead morene flowers, bottle of wine, coffee and tea as Ive always had in other places Ive booked. Sweet cottage for a couple though. Hide

A lovely, comfortable little cottage for two ideally positioned for the town centre. The property had everything we needed, was always warm, and the towels and bed linen were particularly good. Car parking at the common was convenient and only a 5 minute walk away.

On arrival we found a constantly dripping tap in the sink. We reported it and they sent a plumber to repair it. But the job was too difficult and though he said he would return soon he never came back during our holiday. The constant noise of the tap was not pleasant. It wis also a complete waste of water. The late Summer temperature was still quiRead morete warm yet the aga was on when we arrived and the cottage was like an oven. We were only given a thick duvet (almost certainly 13.5 tog). This was too hot for us so all we could do was take the duvet cover off, use it as a sheet with the bedspread on top. There was also one single blanket available. We asked for you to please supply us with either a thinner duvet or a couple of blankets. You got back to us and said that their team in Southwold said they could not do that. We also had to turn the double mattress over because it was quite worn and my back sank into it. Finally, my wife said that one of the items in the First Aid box had a 2008 use by date on it. Cottage is ideal for 2 people very well equipped and a short walk to shops and beach Be aware being a old cottage the stairs are very steep so if you have any problems climbing stairs take this into account. There is a public car park very close to cottage that only ask for voluntary contribution for your stay

Tired furniture and decor, bed is comfortable. Cottage is reasonably equipped for 2, way too many glasses in tiny cupboards. Aga is easy to control and cottage is well placed for everything. Free parking 3 minutes walk away ( charity donation) is a good idea.

Great, cosy property. The cottage was very clean, our only criticism was that is was very warm as the AGA throws out a lot of heat. The cottage is in a perfect location, great for exploring beautiful Southwold. I would book this cottage again.
